Project Background::

As part of the Southern Gas Corridor, the Trans Anatolian Natural Gas Transmission Company (TANAP) transports Azeri gas from the Shah Deniz gas field and other fields of Azerbaijan and possibly from other neighbouring countries to Turkey and to Europe at the Greece/Turkey border through the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP). In addition to TANAP, the Southern Gas Corridor comprises the South Caucasus Pipeline (SCP) extending from the Caspian Sea to the Georgia/Turkey border and the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline extending from the Greece/Turkey border to Italy.

Objectives:

TANAP plans to execute a contract for the Upgrading Works of Access/Existing Road for Block Valve Stations No.16 and No.19 of TANAP System. The scope of works (“Works”) shall cover:

A) Improvement of existing road for BVS19 station, which is approximately 12,000 meters including but not limited to the following work items;

  • Necessary slope stability and erosion control measurements
  • Required drainage system development
  • Replacement of the existing potable water piping and valve manholes on the BVS road (where necessary)
  • Guardrail implementation
  • Necessary traffic signs and snow poles in accordance with KGM specification
  • And other miscellaneous works
  • B) Improvement of existing road for BVS16 station, which is approximately 3,000 meters between Karayaprak village and the existing BVS16 access road, improvement of the existing road within the Karayaprak village and rerouting of the road section where a landslide occurred on the existing access road of BVS16 Station, including but not limited to the following work items;

  • Necessary slope stability and erosion control measurements
  • Required drainage system development
  • Guardrail implementation
  • Necessary traffic signs and snow poles in accordance with KGM specification
  • And other miscellaneous works
  • The estimated duration of the Works is two (2) years.

    Key Parameters:

    The prerequisites for Prequalification are that the applicants (in case of a JV or Consortium each individual member):

  • Shall have performed as a main contractor and/or subcontractor a minimum number of 2 (two) Construction Projects in the last 10 years involving; i) Onshore Pipelines for a length of 70km at least under a single contract, and/or ii) Highway or Road Projects (with hot mix asphalt and/or double surface coating and/or stabilized/gravel roads) for a length of 10km at least under a single contract, and/or iii) Renovation/Improvement of Existing Road Projects (with hot mix asphalt and/or double surface coating and/or stabilized/gravel roads) for a length of 10km at least under a single contract
  • Shall be active in business at least ten (10) Years
  • Shall not be subject to any sanction from IFC/EIB/EBRD or EU/US/UN or Republics of Turkey and Azerbaijan,
  • Shall have management systems either registered to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 or similar,
  • These and other criteria are further defined in the Pre-qualification Package.

    The applicants will further be asked to provide evidence of construction experience and capabilities, quality control procedures, HSE plans and procedures, human and equipment resources and financial stability.

    The pre-qualified companies will be further approached for invitation to bid.

    Application deadline is 05.01.2023 Invitation to Bid is planned to be issued on 1st quarter of 2023.

    Any Application received after the deadline, shall be rejected.
