The 3rd Party Environmental and Social Monitoring funded in part by the inovation and Networks Executive Agency (INEA) established by the European Commission, under Agreement Number INEA/CEF/ENER/M2014/0019 was carried out successfully between December 15, 2014 and December 31, 2015. During the monitoring, Early Works Construction elements were assessed for compliance with Environmental and Social Aspects and ESIA Commitments. During the Monitoring Period, six Quarterly Monitoring Reports were submitted to the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization.
We are glad to announce that the ESIA commitments have been met and no major Environmental Impact has been reported to date.
The Environmental and Social Monitoring process will continue until December 31, 2019, and will include Pipeline Construction, Offshore Construction, Compressor Stations Construction and Commissioning activities.
The First Annual Action Status Report summarizing the current progress and achievements of the TANAP Project will be submitted to INEA by March 31, 2016.
We would like to thank all TANAP Project Team Members for a successful construction operation for their compliance with the ESIA commitments and for the prevention of any major Environmental Impacts.
